Contact info updating for Kinder - March 2019

Thank you so much for helping us out with getting Kinder known to the international charitable sector. In the past few months, we’ve been working hard to build a platform for charitable organisations to log in to, learn about their assessment results, and make sure the information we share about them with our users is the way they want it to be. You will be providing us with the information needed to reach out to these non-profits.

This is what it would look like to be one of Kinder’s contact info updaters:

  • You’ll earn €12,- per hour or an average of €0,75 cents per organisation (whichever amount is highest) until the list is complete.

  • We expect the work to take no more than 29 hours per person.

    • We’ll add you to our time tracking tool Toggl so you can keep track of how much time you’re spending.

  • There will be 5 - 6 people working on this task.

  • You can work from wherever you want, at whichever time works best for you.

  • We want the list to be completed before Tuesday, March 26

  • Detailed instructions can be found below.

  • We’ll have a video call to go over the instructions and answer any questions.

The instructions:

  • There are two tabs: ‘In Kinder Web’ and ‘Not in Kinder Web yet’. You’ll start with ‘In Kinder Web’ and only after that tab is completed you’ll move on to ‘Not in Kinder Web yet’

  • The grey columns are not to be changed

  • We’re asking you to fill the columns with orange titles.
  • In the ‘In Kinder Web’ tab find the first organisation that does not have a name in column C yet.

  • Enter your name in column C.

  • Go to the website from column D.

*If the name on the website is in any way different from the one in column B, let us know via a comment (Ctrl+Alt+M). Please don't change the name yourself.

*If the website is not working or the link does not seem to direct you to the website of the organisation in column B, let us know by adding a comment (Ctrl+Alt+M) with the correct link.

  • Check if the organisation is asking for donations.

*It isn't always clear from the homepage so, for example, look in the footer, the 'about' page, or use the search function.

    • Yes -> Go to the next step

    • No -> Type ‘1’ in column E, then go to the next step

  • Check if the organisation's sole purpose is to spread religious or political ideologies and/or convert people

*If you're unsure whether to flag this as a converting organisation or not, let us know via a comment (Ctrl+Alt+M).

    • Yes -> Type ‘1’ in column F, then go to the next step

    • No -> Go to the next step

  • Add the contact information of someone in the organisation.

Ideally, we’re looking for a Fundraising Manager, Communications Manager, Research & Development Manager, or the Founder/CEO (in that order). This will become our initial contact person regarding the partnership between the organisation and Kinder.

    • Add the first name of this person in column G

    • Add the last name of this person in column H

    • Add the email address of this person in column I

*If you can’t find any personal email addresses, a general email address will suffice.

*If you can find an email address, but not the name of a specific team member, leave columns U & V blank and let us know via a comment (Ctrl+Alt+M).

*If you can find both a personal email address ánd a general email address, add the general address to column L.

To find the name or email address it’s sometimes necessary to dig deep into strategic documents. Look all over the website for it. In the past, we’ve found this information in the footer, on contact pages, team pages, press pages, vacancy pages, in annual reports or about sections of Facebook pages or Instagram accounts.

  • Go to the next available organisation that does not have a name in column C yet.

  • Repeat until all the organisation in this tab have been updated

*The per organisation rate for this list is €0,65 since it will take less time to complete than the 'not in kinder web yet' list.

  • Now go to the ‘Not in Kinder Web yet’ tab and find the first organisation that does not have a name in column C.

  • Enter your name in column C.

  • Google the name in column B.

* If you can’t find the organisation let us know via a comment (Ctrl+Alt+M).

*If the name on the website is in any way different from the one in column B, let us know what the name should be via a comment (Ctrl+Alt+M), please don't change it yourself.

  • Add the website URL in column D.

  • Check if the organisation is asking for donations.

    • Yes -> Go to the next step

    • No -> Type ‘1’ in column E, then go to the next step

  • Check if the organisation's sole purpose is to spread religious or political ideologies and/or convert people to these religious or political ideologies.

    • Yes -> Type ‘1’ in column F, then go to the next step

    • No -> Go to the next step

*If you’re unsure whether to flag this as a converting organisation or not, let us know via a comment (Ctrl+Alt+M).
