Newsletter

Dear friend,

2018 has been, uh, not great. At one point it felt like there was bad news coming from all fronts at all times. A sexual predator got a seat in the US Supreme Court, a fascist became the president of Brasil, and the flood of bad news about climate change wouldn't stop. We're destroying our planet and already starting to see the effects of our actions.
But let's hold it for a second, yes, a lot of bad things happened in 2018 but not all was horrible. We've got a lot of work to do ahead of us so why not start the new year on a positive note with 6 positive news stories about climate change from 2018.

If you're still feeling a bit gloomy about the future of our living planet, don't worry there's even more good news to help you get back on your fighting feet. For example, did you know that in the past 30 years child mortality rates worldwide have dropped more than 50 percent? In some cases, the rates are even higher. In Bangladesh for instance, child mortality has dropped 78 percent. If you need some more good news here are 6 facts about the world that will give you hope.

Apparently, Veganuary is a thing. It stands for, you guessed it right, Vegan January. It's a way to encourage people to go vegan for a month and perhaps, for even longer. Would you be willing to try it? What if I told you Beyonce and Jay-Z are doing it too. Well, no matter what you decide to do you can read three things about Kinder editor Deniz's vegan journey.
