Do you check out Forbes' 400 richest list every year? I do. It's basically the list of the richest 400 people in the US. The names that are lowe on the list change but the top ones stay more or less the same every year. Yeas, you guessed right Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Zuckerberg, etc. etc. But this year there's another element to the list: the philanthropy score. It's a score of 1 to 5, 5 being the most generous. For example, Bil Gates, unsurprisingly, has a gotten a 5 and Donald Trump, also unsurprisingly, has gotten a 1. But here's the thing, Forbes gives these scores mostly based on the amount of money these people donate. Where the donations go and their impact is not considered in the calculation. Which is arguably the most important aspect of philanthropy...
